Information Collection

Carol Plaisier is the sole owner of the information collected on the Carol Plaisier website. We collect information from our users in several different areas of our website.
Newsletter Registration

In order to receive our online Newsletter, users must first complete the registration form. During registration users give contact information (name and email address). This information is used to deliver the Newsletter.

Contact Form

We request information from the user on our contact form. A user must provide contact information (name and email address). It is optional for the user to provide additional information for example, about the nature of their business and their job title. This information helps us to deal with the enquiry appropriately.
Client Registration

In order to gain access to the Client area of the site, users will be required to register. During registration a user must supply a name and email address, and a username and password. This information is required to ensure that only clients can access information about their own projects.

Cookies

A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user's computer tied to information about the user. Cookies are not linked to any personally identifiable information on our site. We use session ID cookies and persistent cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. A persistent cookie is a small text file stored on the user's hard drive for an extended period of time. These can be removed by following Internet browser help file directions.

Log Files

Like most standard Web site servers we use log files. This includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the site, track user's movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP addresses, etc. are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Communications from the Site

Client Area - Special Offers and Updates

We may send all new participating clients a welcoming email to verify password and username. Established clients will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Service Announcements

On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. Generally, users may opt-out of these communications. Please see our Choice and Opt-out section.

We communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and about issues relating to their account. We reply via email or phone.

In the event Carol Plaisier goes through a business transition users will be notified via a prominent notice on our Web site for 30 days prior to a change of ownership or control of their personal information.
